postcard

a form of written communication sent through the post (with a stamp). Normally 15 cm x 10.5 cm, a postcard is made of cardboard (which is stronger than paper). It has an illustration on one side and space for a message and an address on the other. Postcards are often sent by people on holidays to friends or family at home.
