a shortened form of a word, e.g. Mr for Mister, st for street, Prof. ...
a noun that names an idea, concept or quality, e.g. love, justice, fear...
a style of writing and speaking that is used by academics, e.g. As scholars of the New...
an abbreviation that forms a new word, made up of the first letters of a name, e.g. AIDS...
events that take place in a story, either in literature or film. Action describes what...
