the final part of the editing process that involves checking the work again to make sure that it does not contain any errors. The proofreader checks for errors in spelling, punctuation, paragraphing and should make sure that the language is appropriate. The principal aim of proofreading is to ensure that the standard of presentation is suitable for publication.
