(also called birdâ??s-eye view or aerial angle) a shot in photography/filmmaking taken from directly above the subject, often with a wide-angle lens. This shot is often used to establish a scene, to show the viewer the context of the scene that is about to unfold. This shot gives the viewer the feeling of being in a helicopter above the scene. It can also be used to portray the subject as insignificant.
