degrees of comparison of adverbs

adverbs that are modified to show a relative degree of comparison. There are three degrees of comparison: positive, which indicates a property, e.g. She walks fast; comparative, which indicates a greater degree of that property, e.g. She walks faster; and superlative which indicates the greatest degree of that property, e.g. She walks fastest.
